C-TPAT is a joint government-business partnership where companies agree to improve security in their supply chains in return for "fast lane" border crossings and other important incentives. Application
The first step of C-TPAT is to review and harden your supply chain security program to ensure it meets the C-TPAT requirements. Once this is completed, you complete an on-line application form. Assessment
The new C-TPAT guidelines require importers to ensure their suppliers are compliant with the guidelines. They expect suppliers to have a risk based supplier C-TPAT compliance assessment program.
