Pinkerton C-TPAT

C-TPAT Compliance Assessment Services
C-TPAT requires that importers condition their relationship with their suppliers on C-TPAT compliance, and that the importer make every effort to secure C-TPAT compliance by their suppliers. As a result, most companies conduct periodic C-TPAT compliance assessments of their suppliers. This can be expensive. In addition, since many foreign manufacturers produce goods for more than one US importer, the foreign manufacturer may be subjected to multiple C-TPAT compliance assessments, which can be time-consuming and costly for the supplier. Pinkerton, in conjunction with both the International Cargo Security Council (ICSC), and the Toy Industry Association (TIA), has developed a cost-effective solution. This is an effective C-TPAT compliance assessment methodology, which enables foreign toy manufacturers to be assessed only once. Their customers (US Companies) can obtain the results from Pinkerton for a nominal fee. The foreign manufacturer would request and pay for the assessment, which will be conducted by Pinkerton. US Importer C-TPAT Compliance Assessment Registration Information Package When a company contracts with Pinkerton, they are provided with an information package. This will include all form letters for you to send to your foreign manufactures. The importer will provide a confidential list of your foreign suppliers to Pinkerton. Pinkerton will use this list on behalf of ICSC or TIA members to solicit your suppliers, and request an annual C-TPAT compliance assessment. Pinkerton will keep all supplier information strictly confidential. (If you are an Importer, click here)
